What do I need to give the web designer?

  • Provide your company logo and other images you want to use in a file format on disk or via email or in a quality scanable format
  • If you want other images on your website, discuss your needs with the web designer.
  • Provide a text file on disk or via email with the information you want included in your website. This will aid tremendously in getting your website done in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Before starting work on your website, you will be provided with an outline of the proposed layout of the website. This is an important element in determining the cost of the website. Go over the outline carefully to make sure that nothing is left out or if there is anything you decided you didn't want to include.
  • The materials that you provide at the time you sign your contract and initiate work are what determine the cost and completion date of your website. Any materials you provide after that require amending the contract and possibly the cost of the website.
  • Provide the web designer with one or two persons to contact with questions.
